💡 Pensacola X™: How did you get started with The Wet Taco?

“While creating our vision boards on New Year’s Eve 2025, (which are still actively posted on the wall in our dining room), Daniel and I didn’t exactly know what direction we were headed in. With Daniel’s 25 years as a Chef in the culinary industry, and my 17 years of service/hospitality industry, it obviously came very natural to both of us. We were poking around at different ideas and wanted to do something super unique and FUN! He started looking at boats online and it sort of all just started happening! I was actively reading the book The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins and I was like, this is it! We have to do it! So, we took the leap and dove in.”

And they’ve been floating ever since — with a concept that brings food, water, and community together in one truly fun and flavorful destination.

“Our ‘why’ and motivation is pretty simple. Both of us have always walked to our own drum beat and are both very free-spirited. We wanted something that excited us and that was fun and fresh! Our goal is to mostly have winter time off to travel and play more. We’re actively working on designing a life we choose versus just going through the motions. Life is short and we want to have fun with what we do for a living! We both truly enjoy people and connecting, and he loves to feed people with love. The Wet Taco feeds our souls in all these ways.”

🚀 Pensacola X™: What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue their dreams?

“Don’t let fear get in the way. It’s not going to be easy because if it were, everyone would be doing it. Surround yourself with support and people cheering you on. Let the naysayers go. I know it’s easier said than done but what’s the other option? Always wishing you should have tried? You just have to jump in and never look back. As cliché as it sounds, YOLO! lol.”
